Gaspard Maksud Cross Country Clinics

Gaspard is an up-and-coming French team event rider and international showjumper, currently based at Coombelands Equestrian in the UK.
Originally from Laval, France, he began his riding career at the tender age of 11 and began his success by winning the French Junior championship at just 16 years old. After achieving the Ambassadeurs Sportifs Lavallois in 2011 and 2013, Gaspard then made the decision to move to the UK in order to focus full time on pursuing a career in three-day eventing and showjumping.
Upon arriving in the UK in 2013, Gaspard was fortunate enough to be based with international rider Andrew Nicholson before going on to work for Sam Griffiths the following year. Having gained invaluable knowledge and experience during his time with these eventing legends, Gaspard then worked for the Morelands Stud before setting up his own yard.
The cost for each rider will be £50 pp + VAT

Mark McGowan Clinic – Increase your chances of more consistent rounds and rosettes.
Mark McGowan an extremely experienced national and international course designer will be at Coombelands on Wednesday 17 August 2023 running an informative and hands on approach to walking, understanding and riding a course at all levels. “It’s something that many riders don’t fully give their attention to or at times understand what it being asked by the course designer.
These days have proven to give a greater insight into each course and by walking it thoroughly, followed by a constructive discussion and then riding it, it takes understanding to a different and more meaningful level.”
With the day being open to riders of all levels of experience, Mark hopes that those participating will takes away some valuable learning outcomes. “I’ve been doing this for a number of years now, and along with my course design, have been fortunate to have had a background in producing young horses and ponies to a very high level along with my family. For me there has been no better education and this has helped shaped me into the designer I am today.”
Each session will last 60-90 minutes depending on group sizes which will be limited to a maximum of three per group, to ensure each rider gains the most from their day.
The cost for each rider will be £50.
